About
Hi, I’m Karina Lubickaya — the person behind Pillow and Blanket.

Six years ago I started redecorating my own home room by room, and what began as a weekend hobby turned into something closer to an obsession: I kept buying throw pillows, swapping duvet covers with the seasons, testing which blankets actually hold up to a real winter of daily use versus which ones pill and flatten after a month. Somewhere along the way I realized I’d built up a genuinely useful body of knowledge — the kind you only get from living with a product, not just reading its spec sheet.
Pillow and Blanket is where I share that. Every recommendation here has either been through my own home, or has been researched against the same standards I hold my own textiles to: how the fabric wears after repeated washing, how well a piece actually layers with what you already own, whether the stitching and fill hold their shape, and whether the price reflects real quality or just clever marketing photography. I’m not interested in generic “best of” lists compiled from spec sheets — if I recommend something, it’s because I’d genuinely put it on my own couch or bed.

How I Select What Goes on the Site
My criteria are simple but strict: fabric quality and how it holds up over time, ease of styling and mixing with existing decor, comfort in daily use (not just how it looks in a photo), and honest value for the price. A throw pillow that looks perfect in a listing photo but flattens in three weeks doesn’t make the cut — I’d rather point you toward the option that’s still doing its job on my own sofa a year later.

What You’ll Find Here
Pillow and Blanket covers everything to do with cozy home textiles: throw pillows, blankets, duvet covers, comforters, bedding and sheets, and how to actually style a bed or a couch so it looks pulled-together rather than just “matching.” Whether you’re redoing a whole room or just looking for the one throw that’ll make your living room feel finished, that’s what I’m here for.
My Mission
I started this site because I spent years doing the trial-and-error myself, and I wanted to save other people that time. My goal is simple: help you find textiles you’ll actually love living with, without wasting hours (or money) on pieces that don’t hold up.
